Summer is here so I thought I would share a few photos of our summer fun so far. I’ve spent a lot of time at Lake Powell and honestly never get tired of going. It’s so close for those of us living in southern Utah and it makes for a great weekend getaway. There are so many canyons to explore and water sports to enjoy. I shoot Nikon, but for lake trips I usually take my little Canon Powershot SD1000. It’s really small and great for traveling. I hope you enjoy the photos. June 15, 2010I recently joined a great photography forum to continue in my journey of learning everything photography. I’ve really enjoyed this group and learned a lot already. It’s been a great way to get advice from experienced professionals and they have tons of great downloads for members too. I first heard of Photo Talk Forum at WPPI in Las Vegas this year. I attended photographer and founder of PTF Lori Nordstrom’s class and loved it! Anyways, it’s the forum’s one year birthday this month and to celebrate they are giving away tons of really awesome prizes on their blog and also a discount to join the forum. If you are a photographer or just love photography you should definitely check it out!
I actually just won a gift certificate to My Lil’ Creations, a really cute shop with tons of beautiful templates and papers for photoshop. I was so excited because I really never win anything and this was such a fun and very useful prize to win. Here’s one of the templates from the package I chose and I used a photo of my good friend and her adorable new baby girl with it.
So cute, I love it! I’m excited to be able to use all of the other designs I received as well. These are perfect for baby announcements or for creating cards for family photos and highschool seniors too.

June 5, 2010I got to spend the afternoon with this adorable little guy and he just made me smile. He’s a solid 8 days old here. I was able to spend some time with his mom and dad for maternity pictures a few weeks ago, so I was really excited to finally meet baby B. He’s their very first and they are clearly head over heels for him! I found this basket that he fit in perfectly and this is his baby blanket that has been passed down through the family, so it was really special to be able to use it for his photos. Check out how cute he is!

Little D {St. George Children Photography}
May 27, 2010This little guy has got to be one of the sweetest kids I’ve ever met. He was so cute and not nearly as shy as the last time I photographed him with his family. This time we got to take some fun photos for Mother’s Day, as gifts for his grandma’s. We went to the local park for a few photos and then on to a place nearby with some lava rock. All in all, a fun afternoon and some really cute smiles to show for it! Here are just a few.

May 5, 2010Ok, so I was super happy that Miss K agreed for a photo shoot with me. She is absolutely hilarious and has such a great sense of humor. I really love this girls gorgeous blue eyes too. We had a lot of fun and it kinda made me miss my high school friends from back in the day. She was totally up for anything and even ended up climbing over a fence for one of these shots. Well, her friend that came along was actually the one to convince her to do that! Thanks for hanging out with me for the afternoon. A big thank you to Miss B for helping out as my assistant. We took some photos of her too! I’ll have those up soon so check back later.
